Listening: How do we really spend our time?

Hello! How about some listening practice?
What do you waste time doing?
After doing the exercise, give your answer to this question in the comments to the post.

  1. Thank you so much for posting this link. The question about time-wasting activity is quite a vital question. Personally, I waste so much time that I can't even enlist every single case of sacrificing my valuable time. Usually, I am distracted by lots of trivial things and on the spot desires... I try not to follow the unnecessary things I find important daily, but I semm to be uselessly attempting to resist myself. I'm proud that I can distinguish between being a proper person who does everything right and someone like me, who tries, but fails. Most of my time-wasters are watching musical videos on the Internet, singing aloud while trying to make make ends meet translating Latin sentences, making myself so many cups of tea, that seem uncountable at times. I wish I don't do concentrate on these trivial stuff, but pay more attention to vital matters.

  2. I've made some typing mistakes, as usual. "... but I seem...", "I wish I don't concentrate...". And, surely, I've repeated identical words inside the same sentences. Shame on me!

  3. So you are a proper Englishman having countless cups of tea!

  4. I don`t want to be trivial and say that I waste a lot of time surfing the Internet or watching TV even if I do spend a lot of time doing it. As for me, one of my main problems in the time usage is that I try to perform each task perfectly. It concerns not only doing my home task but all the things I do. For example, when I put the clothes in the wardrobe to right I may set them up again for several times until I am pleased with the way it looks. It is foolish I know but I can`t do anything with it. I perceive I`d be more unoccupied if I stopped doing unnecessary things.
