What are we going to read?

Hello! My congratulations on the first day of the second term! Last term you enjoyed individual reading. This time, in addition to that, we will have home reading - the same book for all of you to read at home and discuss at class. Here is a word cloud of the titles of the short stories we are going to read. Can you decipher any of them? Remember that Wordle omits common words like articles and conjunctions from the clouds.

My Word Cloud

Here is my "Word Cloud"!

I quite agree with my group mate’s opinion about my character. It was very interesting to know what others think about you. Thanks you, guys, for such adjectives!!!

"Vika Krylova" word cloud

I'm glad to hear these characteristics from people who know me not so long. They are positive and it pleases. All these words in more or less extent really describe me. I agree with all characteristics that my group mates gave me. Although I don’t agree with one of the them, I don’t think that I’m bossy. I can organize something, but I will not command the people and I will not indicate what and how they must do something.

Word Cloud "Yuliya"

I am very grateful for such reviews. To be honest it was interesting to look at myself through the eyes of others. And I fully agree with my characterization.

My World Cloud

Finally I did it! I didn`t think that it would be so difficult… Vlad, thank you very much for the help! To begin with, I`m agree with each adjective that describes my character except “calm”. I don`t know who wrote this adjective on my sheet of paper but I think this person doesn`t know me well. However it is not surprisingly as we have known each other only for a month. I also added other adjectives which in my opinion describe me. One of them is “strong-willed”. As you can see, this word is almost the same size as my name. I really think that I have strong will-power. So... here is my Cloud! How do you like it?

"Character Word Cloud"

Here is my "character word cloud".

In general, I agree with all these adjectives, that describe my character, in my group mates' opinion.
I'm pleased to hear that my group mates think so!
Thank you!
With love, Lera.

A hard-working man )

Here we go! This is my character adjective cloud. I'm going to answer some of your questions about the suitability of the depicted adjectives to my personality. First of all, I want to thank those of my groupmates who truely believe that I'm hardworking and intelligent. I hope it will come true as soon as possible, but at the current time I can't describe myself with these adjectives.
The most suitable adjectives are kind, sociable and talkative and, of course, ambitious. These are not the best ones a person can posses, but I enjoy this features of my character, I do. Naturally, as any other person on the Earth, I want to chage something about my character: add or remove (get rid of) some chrarcteristics. First of all, I want to become more down to the earth, because nowadays I am ambitious enough to spoil my own life.
I hope you liked my adj-cloud and I am desperately looking forward to seeing your ones.

From Vladislav with love

Create a "character word cloud"

Hello! Your new task is to create a "word cloud" from the list of character adjectives you have recieved. Here is an example of a word cloud, which I created:
You will create a word cloud about your own character as seen by your group mates.
  1. To do this, go to Wordle and print in the adjectives.
  2. Create your image, edit it as you like and make your Wordle larger on screen by clicking  the"Open in Window" that appears at the bottom of the Wordle image.
  3. Take a screenshot of the window by holding Alt button and pressing Print Screen (Prt Scn) at the upper right of your keyboard.
  4. Start "Paint", paste your image and save it in an appropriate format, for example JPG.
  5. In case you need more detailed instructions on how to take a screenshot, go to http://take-a-screenshot.org/.
Now you've got an image of your Wordle and you can publish it here on the blog!
  6. P.S. You can add some comments as to the choice of adjectives your group mates have made. Do you agree with everything? Did some of the chosen words surprise you?
